Tri Cities Funeral Home and Memory Gardens provides funeral services, embalming, cremation, interment spaces, memorials, body preparation, and caskets with our funeral home located in Blountville, TN and our Memorial Gardens in Blountville and Church Hill, TN and in Asheville, North Carolina.

General Price List - These Prices are effective  November 20, 2009

The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire, however, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements require the family to purchase items you did not specifically ask for, we will provide a written explanation in our statement describing the funeral goods and services you selected.

Professional Services:

Basic services of the funeral director and staff: $1,395.00

Our charges for the services of funeral director and staff includes, but is not limited to: staff to respond to initial requests for services; an arrangement conference with family or responsible party; coordination with cemetery, crematory, or other parties involved in final disposition of the deceased; preparation and filing of necessary notices; authorizations and permits, and sheltering of remains.

This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of funeral arrangements you select.

This fee is already included in our charge for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving of remains.
 

Embalming: $ 495.00
Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with a viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

Our charge for this service includes the removal of remains, necessary authorizations, embalming, and necessary services of staff. These charges do not include any visitation, rites, or ceremonies; nor does it include transportation to the airport.
 

Receiving of remains from another funeral home

Our charge for this service includes temporary shelter of remains, local transportation to cemetery or crematory, and necessary services of staff. This charge does not include any visitation, rites, or ceremonies nor does it include transportation from the airport.
 

Direct Cremation

Our charges for this service includes removal of remains, necessary authorizations, transfer to medical examiner, transportation to crematory, cremation and necessary services of staff.

This charge does not include the cremation permit fee, nor does it include any visitation, rites, or ceremonies.

If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are made of compressed fiberboard.
