Rosie Bell Christian, age 81, of Blountville, Tennessee

passed away June 22, 2010 at her residence. 

Rosie was born October 5, 1929 in Unicoi County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Walter and Mae Adkins Murphy. She has lived in this area since 1963. She had several interests, but the things she loved most were shopping, flowers and going to flea markets. Rosie was a member of New Life Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Larry Hinkle and one sister, Mary Carter. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Hubert Christian of the home; three sons, Teddy and wife Linda Christian, Billy and wife Kay Christian and Donald Christian, all of Blountville; brother, Gene and wife Ester Murphy of Watauga; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend of the family, Dan Campbell.

The family of Rosie Bell Christian will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Tri-Cities Funeral Home with services following at 8:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Christian officiating and Donald Christian giving the Eulogy. Graveside services will be Friday, June 25, 2010 at 11:00 am at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. Family & friends will serve as pallbearers.
